Joshua Coupe


Joshua Coupe is a graduate student in Atmospheric Science at Rutgers University. He graduated from Rutgers in May 2016 as a George H. Cook Scholar with a double major in meteorology and marine science. His research interests include the investigation of ocean-atmosphere interactions, extreme forcings to the climate system, and coupled model development.

In his spare time, he enjoys running, reading, coding, and weather forecasting. 

Jennifer Helminski

Jennifer Helminski is a nontraditional undergraduate student double majoring in Geography and Religion. She is the vice president of the Rutgers Undergraduate Geography Society and the undergraduate representative of the Geography department’s student-faculty initiative to promote protection and appreciation of diversity on campus. She is interested in climate change, sustainability, community economies, politics, and social justice.

Prior to returning to college in 2014, Jennifer worked as a zookeeper and dolphin trainer. Outside of academics, she enjoys various creative pursuits, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

In 2016, Jennifer received an Academic Excellence Award from Rutgers University for being in the top 10% of the sophomore class. 

Akanksha Pathak

Akanksha Pathak is an undergraduate student at the School of Engineering majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. She is very active with the Model United Nations Association at Rutgers where her interest has primarily been geared towards global sustainability. 

Apart from academics, she is also a part of the Indian Classical Dance Team, Rutgers Natya.
