Bingru Huang is a distinguished professor in the Department of Plant Biology, Rutgers University and director of the graduate program in plant biology. Her research program focuses on understanding mechanisms of plant tolerance to abiotic stress and developing effective management strategies to improve stress tolerance in various turfgrass species.
She is the Fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Agronomy Society of America (ASA), and Crop Science Society of America (CSSA) as well as a recipient of over 40 other awards and honors. She is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief for CSSA and the journal of Grass Research, as well as associate editor for six other professional journals.
